•“No one left out” is a commonly heard call to action at Airtel.
• Only operator which provides coverage in a fully underground
mine in the Tehri hydro power plant.
• Connectivity at the highest motorable road, at Khardung La
pass, in Ladakh.
Has a belief that connecting people from even rural
places helps to spread technology for the betterment of
the people.

mCommerce
• First telecom operators in India to get a licence from RBI to build mobile
payment services.
• Airtel Money, a product of Airtel mCommerce Services Ltd (AMSL).
• Benefits include bill payments without caring cash or card.
• Airtel Money facilitates cashless transactions in rural areas.
Vision & Action Pillar 2
mHealth
Airtel’s Mediphone service is making commendable progress in
providing health advice over the mobile phone. We are also exploring
ways and means through which we can provide the following services:
• Real time treatment
• Remote disease monitoring
• Health awareness
mEducation
• Airtel is working with NSDC funded companies to address and develop
education.
• Launched our IKSL partnership and the mFarmer initiative.
• Joint venture with the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited
(IFFCO), known as IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited (IKSL)

• Working with the Satya Bharti Foundation for rural upliftment.
• Many programmes were supported aims to set benchmarks for
quality education across the country.
• The programmes provides free ‘quality education to underprivileged

• ‘Primary Education for All’ NY supporting Jag foundation’s initiative.
• A unique telecommunications-based digital system has been
designed to deliver weather alerts and vessel tracking capabilities
specifically for the fishermen’s community residing in Bangladesh’s
coastal areas
Sri Lanka
• Airtel Sri Lanka has taken various initiatives to embed sustainability
into their operations.
• Bharti Airtel Lanka’s association with Mithuruwela - a non-profit
organisation aims at supporting cancer patients and support their
families.
