“Construction of Hes 1 and DN Hes 1 constructs and their Expression in IMR-32 Cell
line” ”, project report submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the award of
degree of Master of Science in Biotechnology under guidance of Dr. Jackson James, Rajiv
Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Trivandrum. Recombinant fluorescent tagged
expression constructs pCAGIG-Hes 1 and pCAGIG-DN HES 1 were made by PCR
amplification and cloning of Hes 1 and DN Hes 1 cDNA upstream of EGFP (Enhanced Green
Fluorescent Protein).Recombinant plasmids were then confirmed by restriction digestion and
DNA sequencing. To analyze the expression, the vector system was transfected in to IMR 32
cells
