The camera is made to focus on a client specified object, video of which
is available only to client GUI in 3G bandwidth. A closed system project
where the client has to call the board to access the stream.
▪ Responsibilities:
The project consists of two modules namely remote streamer and
control centre. My contribution is in remote streamer and my
responsibilities are:
o Implementing RTSP server to bridge between camera and control
centre
o Handle requests for hardware manipulation
o Interface 3G dongle to provide connectivity and control relays using
GPIO

▪ Project Description
The media file is encrypted using AES algorithm that uses 128 bit key.
The encrypted media file is stored in SD card and the decryption key in
cloud. Users with valid credentials can download the decryption key to
decrypt the media file and play it in Raspberry Pi.
▪ Responsibilities:
The project consists of three modules namely AES algorithm and
Media player. My experience is mostly in media player and my
responsibilities are:
o Create bash script to integrate decrypting and playing
o Authenticate user login
o Compile Rpihw library

control features
o Make the decrypted file virtually inaccessible to user
o Configure AWS cloud server to send decryption key on request

The remote site can be monitored from any part of the world. The
surveillance footage is stored locally in the camera and can be obtained
over the air on-demand. Alert is raised if motion is detected.
▪ Responsibilities:
The project consists of three modules namely Streamer, Relay server
and Video player. My experience is in streamer and my
responsibilities are:
o Developing Motion detection algorithm
o Adding driver support for OV7670 camera module
o cross compiling freeTDS and unixODBC for facilitating SQL/MySQL DB
access
o bash scripts for application update and backup management using
crond
o Experience in H.264 Video codec, TCP/UDP protocols, thread
