2. Who are we?
a group of 20 students who study in Access Microscholarship
Program, Bender, Moldova. Students from different schools, most
of us being from Theoretical Lyceum "Alexandru cel Bun", that is
a Romanian school. We study in different grades: from 8th to 11th.
We have different hobbies, interests, but something common for
us is English and the willingness to study it.
3. Where are we?
We live in Bender, Moldova. It is
located in Transnistria, an
unrecognized republic on the
territory of Moldova. It is not only a
local, national, but even an
international problem. People here
have issues finding common
language. Most of the people living
here are Russian speakers.
Our Access group is
diverse, because we have students
from both sides: some who speak
only Russian, some who speak only
Romanian, and thankfully we have
students who speak both languages.
So, we actually work in three
languages: English, Romanian, and
Russian.
4. What is the problem?
What happened is that people are closed
to what they are used to do, and nobody
is trying to change anything. Everybody is
going to their school, and they forget
about the possibility to connect with
others.
5. What is our solution?
We live in multinational republic, so we must
interact more. Friendly relations must be
established between students from different
schools.
First step for us solving this issue on a local vision
starts right here, at our Access class. Here we found
something common and we became friends.
So, to make people forget their
misunderstandings, they should find their common
interests. Because we are students from different
schools, we started this process from discussions
with our friends who are not involved here. Telling
them about possibilities to make new friends , they
liked our ideas.
6. Now we have a plaN…
We want to organize more events where all of us will come and
participate.
Ideas of events:
*football, basketball, volleyball games- for sports lovers
*What? Where? When?; Mafia games- for intellectual games lovers
*concerts and thematic party (Halloween, Sf. Valentine, 80's style)-for
everyone who loves to have fun etc.
A great opportunity for connecting them and at the same time teaching
everybody about social responsibility is the Youth Bank Varnita. A person
can come there and apply for being member, or volunteer, or apply with a
project to be financed whenever he wants. They also organize events as we
mentioned above, where we can participate.
The main idea is to make them get connected after this events through
social network and meet again after all.
7. What is the result we are
looking for?
We are looking for creating new
relationships with people that are around
us. We are looking to get connected along
with them and teach each other to think
out of the box, and to actually get out of
the box we are used to, because with few
simple steps we can achieve more.
8. Now we want to see how you
spend your time together to get
connected…
