Definition
Panchkarma as the name suggests consists of five procedures
which are following:
1. Vaman (Medicinal Emesis)
2. Virechan (Medicinal Purgation)
3. Nasya (Putting oil in the nostrils)

5. Aasthapan Basti (Enema with decoction)
All the above procedures are meant for the purification
of body which in turn helps to get rid of several severe
and chronic diseases.

skin texture, sleeplessness, fatigue, other vata
predominant diseases etc.
Swedan (Ayurvedic Medicated Steam Bath): This is a
unique treatment procedure in which leaves of
medicated plants are boiled resulting in steam that is
passed to the box in which the patient is sitting. This
treatment is helpful to eliminate impurities from the
body, reducing fat and also helpful in some skin
diseases.
Snehan (Abhyangam): It means oil massage. It helps
