taking medicine,nature of disease,stages of digestion of food
and even the nature of the season should be considered during

45. Pramana is the aushadi matra pramana is of 3 types
pravara,madhyama and avara.
for medicine to act properly over a disease pramana plays an
important role. Like how a small amount of water cannot
extinguish the fire similarly medicine in small quantity cannot
cure a disease
as watering more to the plant leads to destroy of that plant
similarly excessive dose of medicine is harmful for the patient .
So, after carefully examining the strength of the disease and the
medicine , the remedial measures should be administered in a
quantity which is neither too large nor too small.
