Northwell-Long Island Jewish
Medical Center, Dr. Lalani graduated
magna cum laude from Siena College
with a Bachelor Of Arts In Biology
awarded on a combined BA/MD
Honors Program.
3. Fazila Lalani has spent a considerable amount of time working both overseas and in
the United States in an attempt to improve the lot of those less fortunate than
herself.
Indeed, her international voluntary work experience underlines her commitment to
providing concrete assistance in some of the poorest areas of the world.
Fazila Lalani has worked as a Medical Relief Volunteer for the Patch Adams
Foundation/AMURT Relief Program in Port-au-Prince and Hinge, Haiti.
4. Fazila Lalani joined the
program 18 months ago, largely
because of her love and belief in
the positive effects of
international medicine. She
gave an extremely well-
received talk on pulmonology
last year, and proctored the
Oral Boards for Graduating
Residents.
5. Fazila Lalani, MD, reveals, despite having lived, studied, and worked
in New York City for virtually all of her life, she still makes regular
visits to India to join up with her family and to work as a Visiting
Professor at the Mission Hospital Emergency Medical Residency
Program in Durgapur, approximately 3 hours from Calcutta
