2. Phase l: Relative Advantage Students will find out why people explore. Students will learn about the pros and cons of exploration. Students will find out why early Europeans came to New York State to explore and what they found. Using technology students will be more engaged and have greater access to materials that will positively impact their learning.
3. Phase ll: Objectives & Assessments Students will watch online videos, visit informational websites to gather information about European Explorers. Students will create a glog on glogster.com to illustrate what they’ve learned about a particular Explorer.
4. Phase lll: Integration Strategies Students will be focused through a Content and Language Objective before each lesson. Instruction will be student centered and differentiated Teacher will provide explicit instructions regarding technology Technology support methods through videos, Smart Board, websites, images and glogster
5. Phase lV: Instructional Environment Equipment needed – Smart Board, internet connection, computer lab Glogster Planning – Teacher must set up student accounts and provide research websites Teacher must review websites before shown to students
