Building your own FPV Racing Drone is a rewarding experience that allows you to customize your drone the way you want. At first this can seem like a daunting task, but we plan to take the mystery out of the process. This workshop covers the advanced do it yourself (DIY) process of selecting a frame, motors, esc’s, controllers, transmitters, receivers, cameras and goggles as well as how to assemble and create your own drone racer from scratch. It is recommended you know how to solder and understand the basics about battery power and computers to get the full benefit of this workshop.

5. What is FPV? - 5 Min
First Person View (FPV) Drone Racing combines several different
technologies such as a drone (Multi-rotor helicopter or fixed wing plane),
remote control, live video, micro controllers, and a variety of different
sensors. This allows the operator of the drone to fly the aircraftwith
precision in close proximity to the ground, usually below the tree line or
less than 100 feet, and around obstacles via live video feed to FPV
goggles or a monitor. The pilot literally has the point of view of the pilot’s
“cockpit” aboard the drone.
