I am an urban planner and economic development specialist working across the country on long-term economic revitalization issues. I am the National Lead for Economic Development for Jacobs Urban Design+ Planning. I am particularly interested in ways that communities can find opportunities for economic vitality in the things that make them unique. I tend to focus on hidden market opportunities, entrepreneurship-building, preserving places with character and building a community's capacity for leadership. I am very interested in the interplay between planning and economic development, and I am looking hard at how to improve planning methods to better manage future uncertainty and economic/
