1. ESSP Light Emitting Diodes Lighting
Brochure - The Smart Choice
Solid state LED lighting is a revolutionary
advance in illumination. From the early
days of the incandescent bulb until
today, there has not been a greater
technological leap in lighting
efficiency, performance or cost savings.
Through our all inclusive financing
program, you can now have reliable, cost-
effective white LEDs for all applications
with no out of pocket outlay resulting in an
immediate reduction in your monthly
electric bill!

3. LED Lighting Overview
• LEDs are solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-
efficient.
• Manufacturers have expanded the application of LEDs
by "clustering" the small bulbs. LED bulbs are made
using as many as 180 bulbs per cluster, and encased in
diffuser lenses which spread the light in wider beams.
• Now available with standard bases which fit common
light fixtures, LEDs are the next generation in lighting.
• The high cost of producing LEDs has dramatically
decreased due in part to utilizing inexpensive silicon
wafers to replace the expensive sapphire-based
technology.

5. Key LED Benefits (cont.)
• Small dimensions
• Extremely reliable: ‟Mean Time Between
Failures” is millions of hours
• Very long lifetime: Light output only degrades
25-30% after 11 years of continuous operation
• High luminous efficiency: Up to 90 lumen/watt of
LED light compared to 5 lumen/watt of white
light with red filter
• No filament failures, no cathode failures, no glass
to break

8. The ESSP Solution
• Immediate reduction in monthly electric bill
• LED lighting represents a tremendous savings in annual cost of
ownership due to low annual maintenance/service costs.
• Numerous rebates and incentives are also available to further offset
the costs of LED lighting upgrades.
• Zero up-front costs to replace your existing lighting systems with
our turn-key LED technology
• All LED Systems are NOT created equal. ESSP only uses UL listed and
approved products that comply with National Electric Code
standards set forth by the National Fire Protection Agency

13. LED Key Features
LED Features:
• Multiple Light Source Emitter
– Directional Source
– 360 degree Lamp
• Individually Controllable
LED Benefit:
• Color Consistency – Unit To Unit
• Greater Optical Control – Light where desired
• Improved Fixture Efficiency – Fewer Fixtures / Lower Watts
• Improved Control Of Spill
• Light – Less Light Pollution / Light Trespass

14. Energy Efficiency • Compared to traditional lighting
of LEDs sources, LED lighting is
extremely efficient, using
between 40% and 70% less
electricity. This translates into a
significant reduction in annual
energy costs
• LED light bulbs use only 2-17
watts of electricity (1/3rd to
1/30th of
incandescent, fluorescent
tube, or CFL). LED bulbs used in
fixtures save electricity, remain
cool and save money on
replacement costs since LED
bulbs last so long.

15. Long Life
• Highly efficient LED light engines last multiple
times longer than incandescent light sources.
• LEDs emit a steady stream of light without
generating excess heat present in
incandescent bulbs, resulting in a long, steady
operational life.
• LED bulbs last up to 10 times as long as
compact fluorescents and far longer than
typical incandescent lights.

16. Environmentally Friendly
• High efficiency LED light engines require only a
fraction of the carbon output generated by
traditional light sources.
• LEDs also contain no lead and are mercury-free.
• Dramatically longer replacement intervals also
mean less waste and impact on landfills.
• If everyone in the U.S. used energy-efficient
lighting, we could retire 90 average sized power
plants.
• Saving electricity reduces CO2 emissions, sulfur
oxide and high-level nuclear waste.

17. Quality of Light
• Color: LEDs can emit light of an intended color without
using any color filters as traditional lighting methods
need. This is more efficient and can lower initial costs.
• The color rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative
measure, on a scale from one to 100, of the ability of a
light source to reproduce the colors of various objects
faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light
source.
• Our LED’s light quality is excellent. Our bulbs have a CRI
rating of at least 80—many are rated 90 and above—
while typical fluorescent lights have a CRI rating in the
50s and 60s.
