2. The Sweetest: Ashlee Orick

3. Ashlee Orick, my best friend. Ashlee and I met in the middle of my sophomore year; officially. She didn’t like me too much because I always picked about her boyfriends when she had one. In my eyes I thought she deserved much better than she chose. But I didn’t know how to tell her… I soon found myself in a pickle, at the time I liked this other girl, yet I liked Ashlee at the same time. So I stayed single and waited, and my waiting paid off. During the course of the year we began to grow stronger as friends, and in the middle of summer 2009, I asked her to be mine under the starlit skies. We are still together as I am doing this presentation, and I am very thankful for it, she has definitely been my rock. Without her I don’t know how my life would be. She has changed me so much that I wouldn’t even want to be friends with myself. I realized how much more of a jerk I was then, but you know how high school works, freshman always think they are the top “dawg” on campus. But now, now I am a much better person, all thanks to Ashlee. She is my everything. There aren’t enough words in the world that can sum up how much Ashlee means to me. “it’s the rule of life: everything you’ve always hoped for comes the very second you stop looking for it” ~anonymous

4. The Nicest: Amanda Burris

5. Ahh, Miss Manda, aka Manda the panda is one of my best friends who I had the pleasure of meeting in 1st Period P.E. and 3rd Period Spanish 1 in freshman year. She is an amazing person with a great personality. She made freshman year worth while and every year since. We have a lot of things in common, we both enjoy the Spanish language as well as biology. Each year our friendship has increased steadily, and I know her quite well. Although she may not realize it, I am going to miss her greatly after graduation. Its funny to remember all the times we had together here at school, because they are now some of the greatest memories that we will cherish the rest of our teenage lives. And I hate to end it here, but there is not enough room on one slide to talk about Amanda. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance! ~ anonymous

6. The Illest: Joe Streble

7. “the choices we make, and the chances we take, determine our destiny”~ anonymous Joe, the 6’4 giant, became my friend my sophomore year as well. He’s a great guy to hang around if you really want to have a good time. Me and Joe have done some crazy and stupid things in the past years but they were the best of times. Me and Joe tend to think on the same wave lengths and we have some of the craziest ideas although they are seen as boneheaded and brainless. One of our dumbest moments occurred last summer, we were supposed to run in this 5k on a Friday afternoon, and we did in a really decent amount considering it was our first outing and all the shenanigans we were doing the day before. Thursday we stayed inside, snacking on whatever was in the house, drinking sodas, watching movies or playing video games. We stayed up ALL night, and went fishing Friday morning at 7 am. We ate a healthy breakfast, and then crashed the rest of the day. We woke up at about 4 pm and left for Denton. Boy was that crazy. So if you like doing things spur of the moment, come hang with me and Joe. We’ll show you how to have fun.

8. The hardcore pimp: Dylan Mauldin

9. “your worst enemy could be your best friend, and your best friend your worst enemy” ~ Bob marley Dylan mauldin, as the quote says, Dylan wasn’t really my best friend until sophomore year, I hated how cocky and arrogant he seemed freshman year. We played baseball freshman year and I started to understand him better as a person. However we truly didn’t become friends until 10th grade. And ever since he has been one of my best friends, we get along and make jokes back and forth a lot. He’s a cool and totally wicked guy. He’s extremely athletic and takes pride in his abilities on the field. One of my favorite sayings to him is the word “raunchy”, it’s the funniest thing especially when he’s talking about something serious. For some reason he relates the word raunchy with ranch, and he hates ranch. So it goes hand in hand as to his reaction when someone even mentions something being raunchy. He’s also a bit of a pimp, but a good pimp, not the kind that wants money, he just wants the love and attention. Still yet these are the qualities that make him a great friend to have. He’s a great listener and advisor so don’t get the wrong ideas about him.

10. The romantic: Evan Mauldin

11. Sir Evan Mauldin, is probably going to become the most legendary person to ever walk the halls at Gray Stone. He is a definite romantic who possesses charm, smooth talking, and the ability to love. But there is a catch for all those ladies out there, he’s taken, and he has been for his entire high school career to a Miss Chambers. Its amazing how far they’ve made it and I do hope they continue the streak. Evan has become one of my best friends and he also is a great man to be around. 12. The Youngin’s: Courtney Loflin, Chase Mauldin

13. Wow this kid is crazy, he’s really fun to hang around, yet you get on his bad side and he snaps like a mouse trap. Its funny to watch him do something completely stupid because he’s very much like me, we do dumb things to impress our friends, and all pain does is bring a smile to our face. Also met him sophomore year; he is the last member in the Mauldin trio. He’s acquired many traits while he has been here with his brothers and I. They learn so quickly : ‘ ( “Pain doesn’t hurt if its all you’ve ever had” ~ Anonymous Miss Loflin; we met for the first official time my junior year, and she became a great friend real quick. She’s really sweet and really nice, she knows how to have a great time, and when you put her with me and Joe, you get some crazy results. She is also a very great listener and advisor if you just talk to her.
