2. 2
Proverbs 17:20 He that hath a froward (distorted;
crooked) heart findeth no good: and he that hath a
perverse (contrary) tongue falleth into mischief.
First of all -- we find what we look for.
A man looking for evil, finds evil.
Expectations have a lot to do with
what we receive in this life.
3. 3
Furthermore, nothing good comes to a
crook in the long run.
Psalm 37 1-2 Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious against the workers of
iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the
grass, and wither as the green herb.
Yes, he may seem to prosper for
a time, but in time, he will reap
his just reward for evil.
4. 4
But on the other hand:
Psalm 37 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for
Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in
his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked
devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:
fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers
shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD,
they shall inherit the earth.
Both true love and genuine faith
can wait patiently.
5. 5
21 He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow:
and the father of a fool hath no joy.
(NIV) 21 To have a fool for a son brings grief; there
is no joy for the father of a fool.
Parents grieve deeply over a foolish, disappointing
son (or daughter). Two words for fool are used
here. The first is keŝl, one who is dull and
thickheaded. The other is nāb̠ āl, one who lacks
spiritual perception and sensitivity.

6. 6
In other words, nabal is one who can see
nothing beyond this world and its pleasures.
The Love of God means nothing;
He wants the sex and romance this world offers.
The mansions of Heaven mean nothing;
He wants all that his eyes can see right now.
7. 7
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Don’t be afraid to be happy.
Our Father, God wants us to be happy.
Not just from good circumstances; it’s easy to
be happy about receiving a million dollars.
8. 8
Be happy because we are in the family of God.
God is our Father;
Jesus Christ is our
big brother.
9. 9
Choose to love and be loved; love will
help you to be and remain happy.
Remember: romance may fade away;
But agape is eternal.
Too many are seeking romance, and then
complaining because it fades.
Agape is the only foundation for
lasting joy.
10. 10
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (TLB) Love (agape) is very
patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never
boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude.
Love does not demand its own way. It is not
irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and
will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It
is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever
truth wins out. If you love someone, you will be
loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will
always believe in him, always expect the best of
him, and always stand your ground in defending
him.
11. 11
Agape never fails!
Eros (romantic love) is temporal,
It is impatient, and it often hurts.
Unless it is settled and strengthened by
agape.
12. 12
Agape is true love, and true love
will make us happy.
Will do us good like
a medicine.
Merry Choose to be
happy.
