This document outlines the structure and goals of the eLF project. The project has 19 core partners across 11 European countries who will work on 9 work packages. The goals are to adopt an e-learning platform based on EQF fitness standards, and create pilot national registers for fitness professionals in 10 countries. The work packages will include management, analysis, developing an e-learning technology platform, creating contents, pilot testing, registers, dissemination and exploitation of results. Critical dependencies between work packages are management overseeing all work, with contents dependent on analysis and platform, and testing and registers dependent on prior work packages.

2. WHY eLF – eLearning Fitness ? In the realm of Fitness: • several organizations have been established ... • several successful projects took place ... Still, today in most (EU) countries we lack: 1. a wide awareness of the key findings among decision makers, operators, public opinion 2. a wide acceptance of the procedures to implement it 3. resources to feed the required processes
3. WHY Information Engineering ? Not just Technologies, but even Methodologies, useful for: 1. modeling and analyzing business & organizational processes (WF models, BPM, ...) 2. implementing and optimizing informational process (web x.0, social networking, search engines, CMS, ...), with special attention to e-Learning 3. measuring effectiveness and efficiency of processes (KPI, DW & DM, ...)
4. Main Goals 1. adoption & improvement of an e-Learning platform based on the EQF-Fitness minimum standards (levels 3, 4) 2. creation of a pilot national register platform for fitness professionals in 10 of the partner countries.
5. eLF: Project Objectives Promoting EQF–Fitness Promoting a widespread adoption of e‑Learning ad an educational tool for instructors in fitness Improving awareness of users and potential users of the benefits of Fitness Preparing further initiatives for fostering the benefits of Fitness for all potential users

17. Bad and good news... I have a dream... I have already implemented your dream.
18. Bad and good news... So, I have just to copy... It is not that simple... First you have to understand it, then you must find paper and a pencil, then you must learn to read and write, finally, you have to desire it.
19. Bad and good news... Or I can find somebody who understands it, with paper and pencil, who can read and write, and who desires it.
20. Some critical issues norms: some are missing, and some are obstacles intrinsic complexity big numbers available funding (generous, but relatively scarce) adverse interests this list is already long enough...
21. Some good issue We have a working model and experienced partners who do implement it We are motivated partners: this project will implement something that most partners are trying to do anyway We have a long list of 19+38=57 partners
