One Way to Grow More Women Leaders: MENtor and Sponsor Them For Immediate Release: Wednesday March 22, 2017 Milwaukee Contact: Indianapolis Contact: Dr. David Borst Dr. Erin Albert Borstthebrand.com erinalbert.com David.Borst2@gmail.com pharmllc@gmail.com INDIANAPOLIS, IN and MILWAUKEE, WI – Co-authors write a his and hers book--two books in one--on helping women get into more leadership positions through development of mentoring programs. The “two books in one” new book on mentoring women is now available through both authors’ websites, www.borstthebrand.com, and www.erinalbert.com/books. A podcast on this project may be found at The Pharmacy Podcast: http://tinyurl.com/PPMentoring, and the book has a Facebook fanpage at: https://www.facebook.com/SHeSaysGuidetoMentoring/. A formal book launch party is being planned in Milwaukee. During Women’s History Month and a focus on a lack of women at the helm of organizations, co-authors Dr. David Borst and Dr. Erin Albert wanted to do something to increase the number of women leaders in the U.S. One way is by sharing their expertise in developing mentoring programs for women—this time in a book with a his and hers perspective. “We wanted to share perspectives both from the woman’s and man’s point of view about how to mentor and sponsor women in this era, which we both believe will help increase the number of women in leadership,” according to Dr. Albert. One of Dr. Albert’s mentors, Dr. David Borst, Dean Emeritus of the Business School at Concordia University Wisconsin, co-authored this book through sharing his own experiences in mentoring women throughout his academic tenure and career. “I wanted to collaborate on this project with Dr. Albert in order to share how I developed a formal women’s mentoring program, in hopes that other men would also step up and create other group mentoring and sponsorship programs in order to help more women move forward and upward,” according to Borst.
