1. Because technology continues to play an
important role in modern industrial society,
integrating technology into the schools will
help prepare students to succeed in a rapidly
changing world (“Developing school or,”
1996).
2. Without technology, our students will be left
behind. Technology is the future! Before we
incorporate technology, there are a few
things we as future administrators must do:
3. 1. Assess the needs of our students. In
order for us to provide the most effective
tools on our campus, we must assess what
our students need and what this technology
will provide for them.
4. 2. Train our teachers and staff. I big
downfall to teaching technology could be that
the teachers themselves are not trained on
current technology and how to incorporate it
into their classrooms.
5. 3. Budget for the technology. Technology
can become really expensive. Please see a
few websites that I have posted on my blog
for information on how to make a plan for
your technology.
6. 4. Lastly, monitor the progress of
technology. In order for technology to be
effective, you must monitor its progress and
how it is helping students.
7. As a reminder, you may review the following
websites for information on technology, uses
of technology, and how to make a plan for it
on your campus:
