2. In what way is the branding ‘coherent’ – why
does it all look like its for the same band?
• Both my CD cover and Print work look very
similar. To keep a similar theme in them I have
used several methods. To make sure the
colours were the same, I used the colour pick
tool on Photoshop.
• This has allowed me to keep the same colour
tones through out my project.
3. Font
• In my album cover I used the font Orator
Std I felt that this was a good choice
because it was clear, bold and suited the style
of the cover. Here it is in action.
4. Coherent Themes

5. Glasses
• One item that reoccurs through the video,
album cover and print advert are sunglasses.
They were a small touch that everyone had in
the video so I thought that I would bring that
across to the print work.
6. Feedback
• The audience was really good at giving feedback.
• They identified and approved the running themes of the
products and noticed that the blue comes from the title of the
song in the video and from the blue lighting in parts of the
video.
7. Theory
• Walter Jon Williams said that the Genre is only
the start. He basically says that you can sell
anything to anyone if the marketing is right, so
you need to hit your target markets with the print
work as well as the music.
• I think my print work hits my target audience of
alternative music lovers as it is simple, hard
hitting and straight to the point. The running
themes keep it simple and coherent. The images
are similar and stick to the same theme as the
video and the end products are really effective.
