Leap into Digital Learning Posted by John Keller on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 3:46 PM Join Indiana educators as we “Leap Into Digital Learning” on February 1, 2012 as part of National Digital Learning Day. Visit the DLD website for more on the national celebration and resources, but plan on being part of Indiana ’ s Digital Nation by participating in our statewide projects. 29-Day Web 2.0 Challenge Each day of February, the IDOE along with some of our educational partners including the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, PATINS, New Tech and others, will introduce a new online resource complete with tutorials and tips. The challenge is for you to explore the shared tool and post a reflection about how you could use it to enhance student learning or better do your job. Not every tool will be new to you, so participants are welcome to share what they've learned from using the tool in their world. Indiana ’ s Digital Stories We have a YouTube channel devoted to digital learning stories. Share what’s going on in your classroom, your school, or your district by sharing a 1-minute video on our YouTube channel. This video archive will showcase many of the ways digital learning is being utilized to engage Indiana learners. For more details on how to share your digital story visit our 29-Day Web 2.0 Challenge blog. Governor Daniels has proclaimed February 1 as Digital Learning Day for Indiana ! How will you celebrate digital learning? Be part of the Twitter conversation @DLDay2012 or #DLDay.

Based on your instructor you may be required to bring audio files to class week4. Others may want you to just publish the 1 st movie (narration, images, title, credits, and transitions.)
Focus is now on the TIMELINE VIEW not the storyboard view.
Effects- will alter the physical state of your image, eg Turn Color to Blackand white Transitions – will help to move from one scene into another scene – eg, spinning, turning into dust… THESE ARE ALL VISUAL CHANGES TO YOUR STORY – THINK ABOUT THE MESSAGE THEY COMMUNICATE, DON’ T ADD THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE THERE, BE THOUGHTFUL, THEY SHOULD ENHANCE YOUR WORK (the message of the scene)
