Islam teaches the lesson of brotherhood and civic life where all religions and creeds are free to worship. It is a way of life that guides actions and character through the submission and surrender to God's will. As the soul submits, one is able to practice peace, compassion, love, forgiveness, and charity from a single source without prejudice or judgment. The best person in Islam is the most righteous regardless of race, gender or religion.

The name Islam itself is an Arabic
word. The word Islam means voluntary
“Submission” or “Surrender” to the
Will of God. It derives from the root
word salam meaning peace. It is a way
of life that guides your actions and
forms your character. Islam is a state of
awareness and appreciation of God’s
boundless attributes.

What is the ideal of Islam? Islam is not a name that
defines you as better than your neighbor or rewards
you a special status with God. Islam teaches us the
lesson of brotherhood of civic life, of intellectual
life, of spiritual life in the sense of leaving other
religions and creeds free to offer their worship. This
is what we call modern toleration, the larger
outlook, this is what we call civilization; this is what
we call the real understanding of human
characteristics, the real understanding of those
sources that bind human hearts to one another.

. As your soul submits, you are able to practice the
meaning of peace, compassion, love, forgiveness,
and charity that originate from one Source. The
shades of superiority, prejudice and judgment fade
as the world comes into focus with the eyes of your
soul. In Islam, the best among us in the sight of God
is not the white or the black, the male or the female,
a person who calls himself or herself Christian, Jew,
or Muslim, but rather, the one who is the most
righteous.
