Mark Scrimshire is the Entrepreneur-In-Residence at NewWave.io where he supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as their Blue Button Innovator and Developer Evangelist. Mark has been responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing the CMS Blue Button 2.0 API that brings Consumer-Directed Exchange, OAuth2.0 and FHIR together to enable 53M Medicare Beneficiaries to share their claims history with applications of their choosing. He is also Co-Chair for the HL7 Da Vinci Payer Data Exchange project which is defining FHIR-based interactions for Health Plans and Providers and CTO/Co-Founder at Medyear.
