The document describes three building projects:
1) A civic centre in Frascati, Italy that includes a supermarket, offices, library, and public squares designed around an existing slope.
2) A nursery school and kindergarten in Rome with each classroom opening to its own garden and bathrooms tailored for children.
3) A complete refurbishment of an apartment in central Rome, transforming former servant quarters into a luxury short-term rental with bespoke woodwork.

The Civic Centre is situated in Frascati, a small
city near Rome, and it includes a supermarket
(in the basement), pubblic administration offi-
ces, a library and two pubblic squares.
The whole building is designed in order to take
advantage of the existing slope and to create
a well integrated building and public spaces
development.

2. November 2007-August 2008_Nursery school and kindergarten in Rome
The school is a single level building situated in the middle of
a garden. Every classroom has got its own garden and ba-

throom, and the internal spaces are conceived to suit chil-
drens’ needs.

4. The Civic Centre includes public administration offices, a small
conference hall, a gym, and a public square.
This building is situated in the north-western outskirts, and it is
meant to be a landmark for this place.
The project was made in cooperation with the inhabitants,
who made a fundamental contribution. At the moment a
weekly market is hold in the lot and the inhabitants asked to
keep it, because of this the public square is organised into
rows and it is free from any building.
In order to increase public spaces in quality and number, we
designed and internal public coutyard between the two par-
ts of the building.

6. This apartment is situated in the very cen-
tre of Rome, in a 19th century building.
The client asked for a complete refur-
bishment, to transfrom it into a luxury
short term rental apartment.
The servant rooms are separated from
the rest of the apartment and there is a
bedroom with private entrance for ser-
vants.
Wardrobes, doors and boiseries were
designed and detailed in cooperation
with client and carpenters.

The two levels are conceived as a single unit, even thou-
gh it is possible to divide them and access to the second
level directly from the external landing.

Travertine stone and cherry wood are the main materials
used in this project. Marbles and mosaic are used in ba-
throoms.
