4. Sprained ankle: Is the
overstretching/damaging of ligaments
surrounding the ankle.
Lisfranc joint injury: Is caused by
the connection of the metatarsal
bones (long bones that lead up to the
toes) and the tarsal bones (bones in
the arch).
Calf muscle strain: Occurs due to
excessive stretching of muscle fibres.
5. Shin pain: Occurs due to running,
particularly at the inside border of
the shin bone.
ACL knee injury: Is a knee-
stabilising ligament that’s irritated
when the knee is bent and a hard
landing occurs.
Torn cartilage: Functions as a
friction preventor, so when the
knee is bent and a sudden twist
occurs a tear happens.
7. Lateral Epicondylitis infection: Is
due to extensive overstretching of
the elbow prior to a shot.
Radial nerve entrapment: Occurs
when the inflamed muscles and
tendons trap the nerve due to
excessive swelling.
8. Rotator culf injuries: Is due to
excessive shoulder rotation. The
rotating culf muscles are put to
great stress causing the
inflammation of the tendon (a.k.a
Tendinitis)
Hamstring strain: Is a tear or an
excessive stretch of the muscle
fibers.
