2. What could be improved?
One of my group members and I also featured as characters in our
production. As we aren’t trained or experienced actors, at times, we
failed to follow the script completely, improvising the dialogue
slightly to fit the situation. This can be seen in the bloopers where
the detective (Tia) has difficulty pronouncing the word “Hodgeson”
on camera and so changes it to “Parkson” in the final production. To
avoid this, we should have read through the script thoroughly
before filming to reach agreement on what each character was
comfortable with saying/found easiest and highlight any possible
difficulties.
3. What could be improved?
Because we made several mistakes when filming, this took up more
of our time than we had initially expected. You can also see from the
bloopers that this was exacerbated by our unprofessional acting at
times where filming had to be paused because of smiling and
giggling. To prevent this from happening again, who ever takes
leading roles for the main task needs to be serious about acting and
rehearse
4. What could be improved?
When looking at my groups final production, there are a few errors
in continuity editing such as where you see the detective pause
before opening the door. The quality of our main task will look
more professional unlike the preliminary task if we can practice and
improve in editing skills
5. What could be improved?
Although we planned to have low-key lighting in our opening scene
to create a tense atmosphere, it appeared to be too dark as the
spotlight effect we tried to create didn’t work properly and so you
can’t see the characters faces clearly.
6. What could be improved?
To make our production even better, we could have used certain
audio effects or asynchronous music to further reflect the tense
situation we tried to create.
