3. I
recently traveled to the city of Philadelphia. While I enjoyed the rich history of
the city, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of selection when it comes to men’s
clothing. This trip inspired me to create a luxury department store concept for men in
the Philadelphia area. The name of the store is Alfred Philadelphia. The store concept
offers great products and superior services. Men’s suiting will range from ready-to-
wear and made-to-measure to bespoke tailoring from Savile Row. Besides quality
clothing, services such as in-house tailoring, monogramming and professional
garment maintenance are part of our commitment to provide superior service to
our customers.

5. The interior design of Alfred Philadelphia is contemporary meets the 19th century
Victorian and Edwardian eras. To be more energy efficient, consistent luminous lighting will
provide though out the store. Spot lights are only featured in the fitting and working areas where
customers and employees require more lighting for fitting and administration. The ambience
of the store is very relaxing and the lighting is very pleasant for the eyes. Our customers can
stay in the store for a long period of time and feel comfortable in our retail environment.

Inspiration
6. Furniture
Asian inspired furniture is featured
throughout the store. The use of Asian
inspired furniture created an interesting
retail environment of when east meet west.
The color for the furniture is a dark shade of
brown and matches the interior of the store.

29. Navy blazer is the most important piece in
a sartorial wardrobe. You can wear it with
almost anything in your closet.
You can never go wrong wearing a white
shirt with a navy blazer. Pair it up with a
bow tie and Khakis for warmer weather.
Create a classic preppy look with your
navy blazer, a white shirt, a pair of gray
flannel, and a repp tie.
Spruce up your outfit up with colors during
the summer. A navy blazer is the perfect
jacket to wear with colors.
30. “A well fitted suit should allow
you to move around freely”
31. How a suit sHould fit
A well tailored suit should be fitted, not tight. It
should allow you to move around freely.
The shoulders of the jacket should hug your
shoulders naturally. If the jacket is too big, both
shoulders will slide down. If it is too tight, both
ends of the shoulder will pop up.
It is acceptable for the front of the jacket to pull a
little to create a more fitted silhouette. The back
of the jacket should be smooth all the way down
from the back of the neck to the open of the vent.
The vent of your jacket should not pop out, it
should lay comfortably on top of both sides.
Allow your jacket sleeves to show a quarter inch
of your shirt sleeves. Working button holes on your
sleeves are a sign of a quality suit.
32. Two For tHe Money
First impressions are the key to success. If you think people do not judge
the book by the cover, think again. If you know you are qualified, why
disqualify yourself by dressing like everyone else. Blue and gray are two
perfect alternatives to your ever boring loose fitted black suit. Notch
lapel is more appropriate for the office. It is more subtle than peak lapel,
therefore it looks more professional. Pocket squares and tie bars can
add texture to your outfit to make it more interesting. Remember, never
underestimate the power of a handkerchief.
33. Replace your jacket with a lower gauge sweater.
Remember, the higher the gauge the thinner it is.
Steve McQueen made the shawl collar
sweater famous by wearing it to crime
scenes in the movie “Bullet” as a fearless
detective in San Francisco. Stick to a
traditional color and wear it with either a
shirt and tie or a T-shirt. If McQueen could
pull it off and look tough, this should not be
rocket science.
Invest your money into two watches, one
for formal and one for sports. A formal
watch is a simple, elegant watch that
could easily fit under a shirt sleeve. On the
other hand, sports watches look cooler and
usually have more features. Chronograph is
considered a sports watch.
Belted sweaters are the new smoking
jacket. It is the perfect sweater for a
romantic weekend with a girl. Get a size
smaller as lower gauge sweaters tend to
stretch over time and also less bulky. It
looks more masculine when worn with a
shirt and tie rather than a T-shirt. Wear a
vest under to add more character into your
outfit.
35. About under Armour
It started with a simple plan to make a superior T-shirt.
A shirt that provided compression and wicked perspiration
off your skin rather than absorb it. A shirt that worked
with your body to regulate temperature and enhance
performance.
Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football
player Kevin Plank, Under Armour is the originator of
performance apparel - gear engineered to keep athletes
cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game,
practice or workout. The technology behind Under Armour’s
diverse product assortment for men, women and youth is
complex, but the program for reaping the benefits is simple:
wear HeatGear® when it’s hot, ColdGear® when it’s cold,
and AllSeasonGear® between the extremes.
Under Armour’s mission is to provide the world with
technically advanced products engineered with our superior
fabric construction, exclusive moisture management, and
proven innovation. Every Under Armour product is doing
something for you; it’s making you better.
