• Solomon asked God for wisdom. God was pleased that
Solomon did not ask for riches. In return for not asking for
riches God granted him wisdom, riches, a long life, and victory.

ILLUSTRATED?
• His wisdom was illustrated when one of the prostitutes
babies died. The mother of the dead baby switched the
dead one for the living baby. Solomon decided whose baby
was whose by threatening to kill the baby by giving half to
one mom and the other half to the other. The mom of the
dead baby agreed to kill the living baby and the real mom
pleaded to let the child live.
