Pushbutton Signal
Chapter 1 Control Specification and Programming. Ch-1.
Control Objective
Switch the traffic light signals in response to a pushbitton.
Control Specifications
The following operation should be performed in this unit. Study the required
specifications and then create the program and confirm the operetion.
1. The signal lamp Red (Y0) flickers at one-second interval (ON for 1 second and
OFF for 1second).
2. When the pushbutton (X10) on the operation panel is pressed, the indicator (Y10)
on the operation panel is lit. If the pushbutton (X10) is released, the indicator
(Y10) remains lit.
3. After the indicator (Y10) is lit for 5 second, the operation of the signal is changed
as described in 4) to 7).
4. First, the signal lamp Red (Y0) flickers for 5 seconds while indicator (Y10) is lit.
5. The signal lamp Red (Y0) turns off. The signal lamp Yellow (Y1) is lit for 5
seconds.
6. After the lamp Yellow (Y1) is extinguished, signal lamp Green (Y2) is lit for 10
seconds.
7. After the signal lamp Green (Y2) turns OFF, the signal lamp Red (Y0) flickers at
one-second interval (ON for 1 second and OFF for 1 second). The operations
starting from 1) are repeated.

CAUTION
Click the ladder programm area to enable operation. The title bar will turn blue. Key operation
are not enabled when the title bar and meny items are grayed out.
1. Click the (Edit Ladder) button on the remote control.
2. Input a program.
3. Press the (F4) key to convert the program.
4. Select "Online" - "Write to PLC" in the ladder program area to write the program to the
PLC.

1. Initial operation confirmation.
Result = Red (Y0) flickers at one-second intervals (ON for 1 second and OFF for 1
second).
2. Button operation confirmation.
Result = When the pushbutton is pressed, the indicator displays (Please wait) (Y10) for 5
seconds and Red (Y0) flickers.
3. Operation after (Please wait) (Y10) is extinguished.
Result = Yellow (Y1) is lit for 5 seconds.
4. Operation after Yellow (Y1) is extinguished
Result = Green (Y2) is lit for 10 seconds.
5. Operation after Green (Y2) is extinguished
Result = REd (Y0) flickers at one-second intervals (ON for 1 second and OFF for 1
second).
In order to repeat operation checks, the screen should be initialized by clicking the
(Reset) button on the remote control.
