Michael Bachelor moves into a small starter home called the Bachelor Pad. The first thing he does is get a job in the criminal career track. He goes to work on his first day but misses the Welcome Wagon. After work, Michael paints and socializes with his new friend Ulysses T. Hatfield, using talking and joking to quickly become friends. The summary covers Michael's first day of moving and settling into his new home in the Sims game.
2. The Bachelor Pad as it looked before I did anything to it. It may be a tiny little
house, but I have learned from years of playing The Sims that kitchens should
never be indoors unless you have a massive house or really smart Sims, which
Sims never are.
3. This is Michael Bachelor, whose stats I forgot to write down. Then again
I think I forgot to write down the stats for the first three houses I played so
this will probably be the theme of my journaling about The Sims play.
4. This is what it looks like if I use a picture from the small image size option in the game. Some
of the pictures where taken with this before I realized this would be a problem. So there may
be some messed up looking pictures in the first three albums, or there may be some holes in
my story lines, of which I have none so it shouldn’t be a problem. Hope you can read this
5. The first thing Michael did was get a job in the criminal career track, not
because that was the one I wanted him to have but because that was what was
available. He got to go to work on the first day but missed the Welcome Wagon
I had forgotten was in this game.
6. Another view of the house to show the bathroom didn’t change at all and where
the dinning room is. They should all be outside because The Sims, Sims are
among the least intelligent of all Sims and it is safest to make them live
outdoors with no walls.
7. I didn’t change the walls, roof, or plantings so this is as close to how the house
looked when he moved in as we are going to get this time around. Not sure if I
remembered to do before pictures on the other two houses, will try to remember
on the rest but no promises.
8. Because for some reason I love that car. When I first started playing this game
in 2000 (when it came out and I was in my last year of college) I thought that
whenever I got my first car it would look like this. I was disappointed when my
dad insisted I get a new car because it was safer and would last longer.
9. After work I had him paint. According to my notes he hired a gardener
before this or at least that is what I think I did since he does have a fair
amount of planting on the lot.
10. Still the first day and Ulysses T. Hatfield showed up and became his friend very quickly. The pattern
used was: talk, talk, joke, talk, talk, compliment: repeated until they were friends.
Going to stop here for now so there will be a part two for the Bachelor Pad, but this seems to be my
limit.
