2. Olympic Rings
The five rings represent the five continents in which the athletes
traveled from to attend the games. (The America’s are considered one
and Antarctica does not have a ring.) The colors of the Olympic Rings
are usually seen on a white flag. These six colors represent at least one
color seen in all of the country’s national flags. The rings are interlocked
to show unity, as all athletes from around the world are coming together
to compete.
3. Medals
• Only the top three places receive medals
• First place earns Gold, second place earns
Silver, third place earns Bronze.
