Although this topic is vast, in this talk Daniel will focus on securing end-to-end (user-to-service) communication, and also explore how the combination of an edge proxy and service mesh using TLS and mTLS can be used to mitigate many person-in-the-middle attacks.Key takeaways include: – Understand the different characteristics of north-south and east-west traffic, and how the control plane needs to be optimised for each use case – Understand why service mesh is in a unique place to enforce security features like mTLS, service identity, and traffic policies – Learn how to ensure that there are no exploitable “gaps” within the end-to-end communication path – Brief demonstrations of key principles using the open source Ambassador API gateway and Consul service mesh.

eScan with Cloud Security was recently launched in the Russian Market in association with eScan’s master distributor Anti-Virus center. The Conference was organized in Moscow at Golden Ring Hotel. It was a three-day event which included press conference for the launch, Meet for Prospect Partners as well as eScan Partner Meet. The event proved to be a success and the newly launched product received an overwhelming response.

Created by Mozilla Research in 2012 and now part of Linux Foundation Europe, the Servo project is an experimental rendering engine written in Rust. It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine. In this presentation, Rakhi Sharma reviews the status of the project, our recent developments in 2023, our collaboration with Tauri to make Servo an easy-to-use embeddable rendering engine, and our plans for the future to make Servo an alternative web rendering engine for the embedded devices industry.
