4. Find eTwinners One of the most powerful tools in the eTwinning platform is the Partner Search. It is available on the Teacher's Desktop and it allows you to search for and study the profiles of possible partners.
5. Songs, Language & Culture eTwinning offers an easy way to start a project. I started my eTwinning experience in 2008 with the project ”Songs, Language and Culture”.
6. There were 13 partners in the project such as Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Latvia, Italy , Poland… The project’s aim was to help students to reflect upon their own language and English in order to understand how much of culture is implied in the study of a foreign language.
14. Outof 13 projectpartners, 3 themosthard-workingandpatientwereleftandwedecided to start two more eTwinning projects next year
15. "ESSELT'S FILM PRODUCTIONS" (ES=Spain, SE (=Sweden) and LT (=Lithuania) was a project of collaborative work among students of these 3 different European countries. Students exchanged information about their favourite films, actors/actresses, directors...; created surveys, took part in forums, and ultimately, wrote, shot, directed and edited their own short movie.
17. In this project, pupils exchanged information about themselves, their way of living and their culture through the world of clothes and fashion. They worked on different topics such as descriptions of national costumes, debate on cross-curricular issues suchas music and fashion, clothes and the environment, fashion and eating disorders, among others. Finally, they produced a fashion book.
19. Now TwinSpace offered applications for collaboration such as blogs, forums and wikis, and tools for content management such as file archive, image gallery, web content display.
25. Advantages of TwinSpace It’s easy to register students It’s simple to contact each other via mailbox (you don’t have to share e-mail address if you don’t want to) It’s a safe place for keeping data and chatting. It’s not time or space limited.
26. Drawbacks You are not notified if somebody writes a new blog, publishes a new activity, makes changes in wiki, replies in a forum or comments on a blog (unless you are the author of the post) Students still find more attractive facebook or skype where they have lots of contacts and which they have been using before…
27. Wiki for teachers at http://pbworks.com/ for buildingcollaborative pages, startingdiscussions, keeping files…
30. The project " Addressing the Energy Crunch - Every Little Action Counts -" aims to raise awareness among students, staff, parents and the wider community of the need for proactive behaviour in energy conservation within the framework of international measures for protecting the environment.
31. We enjoy eTwinning as the space where teachers and students use wiki for planning and working in international teams.
