1. A few things about the Greenwich Observatory
Was one of the most historic Observaries in the world and oldest in
England . It was also founded in 1675 by Charles II. The
Observatory was built on a hill in the Greenwich area of London,
above the River Thames from which it takes its name. These days
it's not working and all the astronomical instruments it had and the
staff were transferred to the Sussex Observatory. The old building
in Greenwich functions as a museum and is part of the National
Navy.
