-Naples is the 3rd largest city in Italy according to population.\n-It is the biggest city in Southern Italy.\n-Since Naples sits on the bay, its harbor is the most important port in southern Italy. \n-Pizza, spaghetti and seafood are the city&#x2019;s specialties. \n
-Naples is the birthplace of the pizza.\n-Neopolitan pizza cannot be beat.\n-margarita pizza with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil.\n-Biggest topping is hot dogs.\n-Second biggest is ham and artichokes and then shrimp.\n
-Newest pizza topping is nutella. \n-Chocolate and hazelnut spread.\n
-The secret is the brick ovens.\n\n
-Italy has 2 islands.\n-Sardinia and Sicily.\n-Sometimes people think that Corsica is an island in Italy, but really it&#x2019;s a region of France. \n-Known for their beaches and rugged landscape perfect for agriculture.\n\n

-Both cities have a great amount of historical temples.\n
-Many Sicilians like to take a break from their apartment life in town and travel to the countryside of the town where they might own their own private farm. \n-Farms are passed down from male to male in the family, when the owner is too old to take care of it.\n-Farms are pretty much a second home.\n-A little house with a full kitchen and bathroom. \n-Space for relaxation and company.\n-Plenty of holidays are spent here at campagna.\n\n
-Farms grow any fruit or vegetable you can think of and more. \n-You can either sell what you grow, or pick it all for your family to cook and enjoy. \n
-The owner &#x201C;grandfather&#x201D; will pick the vegetables and fruits needed for the extravagant meal.\n-He will also begin burning wood for the brick oven.\n
-The wife will usually take control of the main food, in this case it&#x2019;s pizza and bread.\n-All other relatives will prepare the extras. In this case, the pizza toppings.\n
-With adult help, the kids usually will help out by adding the toppings on the pizza. \n-While other relatives wash and prepare the side dishes.\n
-Turns into one huge meal with plenty of company.\n
-Most of Italy enjoys Mediterranean weather.\n-Long, hot, dry summers and warm winters.\n-Italy&#x2019;s constant nice weather is what brings families closer together because there&#x2019;s so many outdoor activities.\n\n\n\n

-Work is a family affair and a lot of time off is spent with the family.\n-Only 45% of women work and 70% of men work.\n-The women prefer to stay home and cook and clean and take care of the kids and let the husband provide all the income.\n-A child goes to school from Monday-Saturday; 8:30-1:30.\n-Depending on where you are in the country, there is a 3 hour break.\n-For example, at 1:00 all shops and businesses close and then reopen at 4:00.\n-This gives workers time to go home and spend time with family and friends.\n\n
-Italy has the most amount of small family businesses in all of Europe. \n-2/3 of industries are small family owned companies. \n-Italians like to keep their businesses small so that the family can maintain control.\n-Bars\n-Gelato, coffee, and pastries.\n-Brosche is a roll of bread with ice cream inside.\n-There is at least one bar on every block.\n\n
-Soccer is more than a sport or a business.\n-Fans say that it is a part of living.\n-Won the world cup 4 times, the last time was in 2006. \n-Soccer games are on every Sunday after church, so families gather around the TV and watch the game together every week.\n

-Dr. Verderame is the head doctor of the organization: LILT.\n-Italian League for the fight against cancer.\n-LILT is located all over the country.\n-Dr. Verderame&#x2019;s clinic is located in Sciacca, Sicily. \n-Is always accepting donations, so that is how I decided to raise money for them.\n\n
-Jars were placed in our local pizzerias: Little Sicily, Angelos, and Franzones because Dr. Francesco Verderame&#x2019;s favorite food is pizza so I thought that would be a cool idea. \n\n
-My work donated a full box of 120 mini cannoli shells for my application.\n-The filling was homemade. Ricotta cheese, sugar and chocolate chips, powdered sugar.\n-Sold them for $1\n-The first day was my trial day. Brought in 40 cannolis and sold all of them by the end of 2nd period. \n-Brought the last 80 on the second day and sold them by the end of period 4/5.\n-Thank you!!!\n
