AMSEC Australia Pty Ltd designed, supplied, installed, and provided for future upgrades to an integrated security system for the Department of Human Services Burke Street Melbourne Project. The system included a Concept 4000 hardware platform that provided seamless integration of intruder alarms and access control. It also included recommendations for a new CCTV management system and mix of camera upgrades. The security system upgrade aimed to reduce costs while providing a simpler management solution through the integration of technologies like IP cameras, access control devices, and an uninterruptible power supply system. AMSEC provided documentation, training, and change management techniques to support the new security system installation.

INTEGRATED SYSTEM UPGRADE WORKS
Overview
AMSEC Australia Pty Ltd designed to the extent specified, supplied,
installed and provisioning for a future upgrade in partnership with the
Jones Lang LaSalle for the DHS Burke Street Melbourne Project.
AMSEC’s project delivery team is in the process of supplying
preliminary design, installation and commissioning recommendations
a new CCTV Management upgrade and mix of cameras from the
market.
The proposed solution included the Concept 4000 hardware platform,
it provided for seamless Integration of Intruder Alarm and Access
Control.
As an intruder system it sets a new benchmark. Thousands of areas,
thousands of inputs and outputs, powerful macro‐logic, TCP/IP
connectivity and an array of flexible reporting options.
As an access system it offers all of the leading product functionality
that you would expect in a state of the art enterprise level solution.
Hundreds of thousands of users, multiple card formats, lift control,
and module redundancy that will maintain full functionality, even in
the event of complete server failure.
The Department of Human Services provides a broad range of social
and health services on behalf of the Australian Government. As part of
the review of the DHS Melbourne staff accommodation requirements,
staff from 360 Elizabeth Street and 555 Collins Street will be relocating
to a new Fit Out in Levels 3‐4, 570 Bourke Street Melbourne.
DHS are responsible for the development of service delivery policy and
provide access to social, health and other payments and services.
They work closely with Australian Hearing in providing strategic advice
to the Minister and Secretary on service delivery policy and regulatory
requirements for services delivered under the Australian Government
Hearing Services Program.
In addition to this they offer Payments and services and a range of
health, social and welfare payments and services through the
following programs: Medicare, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme,
Australian Childhood Immunisation Register and
Australian Organ Donor Register and Centrelink
.
Additional Project Scope includes the following:
AMSEC’s design and delivery made available a reduction in equipment
cost, lowering installation and maintenance costs, and provide for a
simpler and more practical system management solution.
This CCTV system offered was a premium CCTV surveillance systems
equipment and is used throughout Australia. Some of the latest CCTV
camera systems record footage using a state of the art CCTV camera and
allow you to view a number of different areas or points of interest within
the surveillance camera area simultaneously. This allows you to have
static view frames at various zoom levels so as not to miss vital footage.
Other features include bi‐directional audio to allows greater situational
awareness, which is significant when considering reliable security and
surveillance CCTV camera solutions to suit your specific needs.

client interruption.
