INTEGRATED CCTV SOLUTIONS
Overview
Optical Solutions Australia has recently completed the state‐of‐the‐art
technology CCTV upgrade at its New South Wales Silverwater location and soon
in the Alexandria site.
All this will be managed through the latest version of Luxriot Enterprise, a
security system used in Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Ave of the Stars,
Sheraton Hotel in Kuching, Malaysia and many other sites.
The Luxriot® VMS solution was chosen because it is an open architecture Video
Management System (VMS). The VMS accepts MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264 as
well as HD and megapixel video streams from Network (IP) cameras, encoders
and video capture boards.
The system currently is integrated with over 3000 devices from all major
manufacturers including VMS, ACTi, Arecont Vision, Axis, Hikvision, Messoa,
Samsung, SONY, UDP, Vivotek and others.
The client‐server architecture allows to build hybrid scalable solutions from a
single NVR/DVR to the multiple server system handling thousands of cameras.
Stage 2 of works is to include ® Video Analytics, this highly effective and wide
range surveillance situations filter will take into consideration people, vehicles
and other objects. Comprehensive filters mean the system can recognize
between behaviours appropriate to each surveillance scene.
This application accommodates customers with the specific need to detect,
recognize and register motor vehicle license plates.
In additional to the VMS, also installed was a Broadcast Server which is an
integral part of VMS suite. Its sole purpose is to deliver live and/or recorded
video streams in a platform independent format without exposing VMS
server(s) and camera(s) to the desktop and mobile devices including IE,
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS, Android, etc.
The Broadcast resamples and recompresses original video streams for the best
performance, quality and bandwidth utilization for use on devices like your
iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile devices
