This is a simple presentation slide about the life analysis of the Late Mr Ronoda Prasad Saha, who was the one of the best entrepreneurs during the First and Second World Wars. This slide is organized by my best friend, Mohon, for the course - Entrepreneurship Development - MGT-321 - for the formal presentation in front of Dean sir - Dr. A R Khan sir.

5. Early Life
 Ronoda Prasad Saha (R P Saha) was born in 1898.
 He was born in his maternal uncle’s house at Kasur, Savar, Dhaka.
 His father’s name is Debendra Saha and mother is Kumudini Devi.
 His father had brass business and he was very restless.
 His father used to beat him and one day, he threw a kharam, a kind
of wooden sandal, which hit his mother.
 Her mother died due to that injury.

6. Education
 R P Saha’s family was not in favor of education.
- They maintained ancestral heritage.
 He could not complete even the lower primary level.

7. Step in Business
 R P Saha was given a job of a ticket collector of the Indian Railway by
the British Govt.
 In 1932, he left the job and started coal business in a small scale.
 Then, he bought an old launch and dockyard in Calcutta.
 Gradually, he established a number of business units, including:
- Bengal River Service Co as a joint venture.
- Food Collector of the British Army.
- George Anderson Company at Narayangonj – a jute firm – in 1942.

8. Opportunities
 In 1942, during the World War II, RP Saha became one of the food
grain collectors and suppliers for the British Army.
 He bought George Anderson Co.
 He established a dockyard at Narayanganj.
 He bought three power houses and a leather industry there.
 He also established the following educational/welfare oriented
organizations:
a. Kumudini Hospital at Mirzapur

b. Shova Sundari Dispensari, Mirzapur.
c. Kumudini Hospital School of Nursing.
d. Bharoteswari Homes, Mirzapur.
e. Kumudini College, Tangail.
f. Debendra College, Manikganj.
 All these organizations were controlled by Kumudini Welfare Trust,
which had command over 2 crore rupees, and this amount increased to
20 crore taka in 1982.

11. Hurdles Faced
 Ronoda Prasad Saha could not have any proper educational
facilities.
 His family was not in favor of education.
- They maintained ancestral heritage.
 He could not even complete
the lower primary level.

12. Family Life
 R P Saha got married to Kiron Bala.
 He had two sons and two daughters.
 All his family members learned English completely.
 His elder daughter Bijoya Khan and the third issue Mrs Jayapaty lives in
Bangladesh.
 Jayapaty got education in London and took the management of the Kumudini
Welfare Trust.
 Bijoya Khan suffers from chronic disease and takes treatment in Calcutta.
 R P Saha used to lead a very simple life. He was extremely amiable, friendly
& hospitable.

13. Death
 Many rich Hindus migrated to India, but R P Saha stayed in
Bangladesh territory as a mark of respect & weakness for his
motherland.
 On 7th May, 1971, the Pakistani Army kidnapped him along with
his youngest son, Bhabani Saha.
 Both of them did not return from the Pakistani Army Camp
anymore.
