Land Acquisition Process
• Will occur after pre-final design complete.
• Plats will be prepared showing easements
and/or right-of-way needed.
• Land Acquisition Agent will contact
property owners to negotiate.

• We will coordinate with
property owners well in
advance.
• Fences may be temporarily
removed & replaced.
Relocation to private
property may be necessary,
if within the right-of-way.
• Work hours are set by
VDOT.
