Description:
The Flatlick Sewer Rehabilitation Phase III project included rehabilitation of approximately
1,641 linear feet of 24-inch diameter pipe with cured-in-place pipe liner and replacement of
175 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe. Crushed glass was used as bedding material for the
pipe replacement portion of work. The project was substantially complete on April 12,
2019.
Project Overview:
• Approximately 1,641 feet of existing 24-inch asbestos cement pipe was rehabilitated with
cured-in-place pipe liner.
• Approximately 175 feet of 24-inch asbestos cement pipe was replaced with 30-inch
ductile iron pipe and encased by 42-inch steel casing across the Flatlick Branch Stream.
Crushed glass from the I-95 Landfill was used as pipe bedding material.
• Three manholes were replaced and six more were rehabilitated with cementitious lining.
