This stream stabilization is located within the Scotts Run Watershed in McLean, Va. The project restored 600 feet of intermittent stream using natural channel design, installed a new drop inlet, 32 linear feet of 36-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe, an end wall at Box Elder Court, and installation of instream structures such as rock weir, imbricated toe protection, step pools, reinforced bed material.

Project Details Scotts Run Tributary @ Windy Hill Road Stream Stabilization Capital Facilities/Utilities Design and Construction Division/Stormwater Construction Branch Description: Scotts Run Tributary @ Windy Hill Road Stream Stabilization Project has been substantially completed. This stream stabilization is located within the Scotts Run Watershed near 1348 Windy Hill Road, McLean, VA . The project restored 600 feet of intermittent stream using natural channel design, installed a new drop inlet, 32 LF of 36-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe, an endwall at Box Elder Court, and installation of instream structures such as rock weir, imbricated toe protection, step pools, reinforced bed material.
