 Set up Punjab Health Line (with 150 doctors manning it) in less than 48 hours in the wake of 2011’s Dengue epidemic

partner (Tenders and Contracts with various vendors for hardware and services). Incubated 14 business startups through
a nationwide talent hunt in collaboration with P@SHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association)
 Set up Pakistan’s first multi-purpose call center platform (CCC) offering shared call center solutions to the Government
departments and has successfully served as a mode of connecting with the 95+ million citizens out there
 Organized first ever e-Governance exhibition in Pakistan

whether natural, man induced or accident. Was sent on special duty for the Flood Relief Project and setting up an ERC.

 Designing and executing province-wide data collection exercises and providing policy analysis on a large spectrum of
issues for the provincial Chief Secretary
 Assigning 36 administrative departments in the development of a performance management system and key
performance indicators in an effort to improve public service. This involves a comprehensive exercise of process mapping
and developing job descriptions for all employees (over 700,000) in an organization where no centralized repository of
such information exists
 Managing an in-house IT team in setting up new information systems and integrating existing ones onto a single
platform/dashboard to support management and decision-making
 Setting up and managing an Emergency Response Centre (ERC) Control Room at the PDMA Headquarters in Lahore
regarding the sorry floods that hit July 2010 including training of the staff and setting up policies and file systems.
 Monitoring, analyzing and reporting extensively on the flood; flow and extent, and predicting future flows and extent of
disaster to the Chief Secretary for informed decision making in issuing warnings.
 Working with specialists at the Punjab Information Technology Board, Microsoft, Geodan (Microsoft’s tech partner
in Netherlands), FAST & LUMS, in designing and deploying a Disaster Management System and a fully functional real
time updated flood relief portal (http://floodrelief2010.punjab.gov.pk)
 Conducting regular sessions for evacuation, relief and Damage Need Assessment (DNA) with Rescue 1122, Police, Health,
Social Welfare Dept., Local Government, Irrigation and other concerned Government line departments to coordinate the
relief efforts and ensure logistic support.
 Liaison with International agencies, financial institutions and NGOs for donating Model Villages.
 Managing the Public Relations for the PDMA; coordinating with the advertising agencies for various artifacts and video
documentaries for the donors.
 Coordinated and executed a very successful Donor’s Conference held in Islamabad on 30-09-10.

PDMA is an institution at Provincial level, mandated to effectively set up a system to look after disasters and calamities whether natural, man induced or accident. Was sent on special duty for the Flood Relief Project and setting up an ERC. Key Responsibilities:  Designing and executing province-wide data collection exercises and providing policy analysis on a large spectrum of issues for the provincial Chief Secretary  Assigning 36 administrative departments in the development of a performance management system and key performance indicators in an effort to improve public service.
