2. Between 1870 and 1914 were formed
the big colonial empires. The biggest
empire was the British and the second
was France.

3. The conquest process
In 1830 come up the colonial idea,
England conquered India and France
started to attack Argel.
In 1885 was the Berlin Confederation,
and the African States were distributed
to the first European States.

4. At first of XX century the empire
conquer was finished, there were few
free states, Ethiopia and Liberia in
Africa and the greatest empires in Asia,
like China or Persia.
South America got the liberty of Spain
and Portugal, but it depended on the
money of them and later of the USA.

5. The big empires
There were two european empires:
-Britanic Empire
- French Empire
There were a smaller empires too :
-Belgian Empire
-German Empire
-Russia Empire
EEUU wasn´t an european empire, but it was
important too.

6. The imperialisms shock
The colonial career increased the
tensions between the European powers
and threatened the peace between
them.

life
The consequences of the imperialism
were deep and they have lasted until
nowadays. The western people created
administration ways and economical
exploitation which changed deeply the
lifestyle in the settled regions.

The European countries setteled on the
setteld lands three ways of dominion:
• The colonies
• The protectorates
• The concesions

10. The settling of the european
administration had important results.
The settlers established the bases for a
modern administration which keeps on
preuciling. But they shaped the lands
without taking into account the tribe
differencies, or language or religious of
the native settlements. Which was a
sousce of conflict when the
unsettlement happened.

11. The economic exploitation
The settlers appropiate the lands and
they turned them in big fields or they
worked the minerals subsoil wealth.
The native population provided cheap
workforce.
The western authorities didn’t promote
the colonies industrialization

12. A racist society
Native people were dispossessed of
their lands and they turned into a
marginalized minority. In Australia and
New Zeland native people were
subjected to and extermination politic.

13. In the other colonies, colonizes and
colonizers had lifes completely different.
- Occidental population was a small
group, but they had the main
economical responsabilities.
- The native people were poor and
they didn’t have rigths.
