Businesses use The Daily Hundred to turn their influential customers into an extension of their marketing teams! Our platform allows businesses to connect with and reward these customers for creating and sharing branded content. Thousands of users login to our iPhone, Android and web app everyday to turn their influence into cash and rewards. There are currently two ways that users can earn rewards on our platform. The first way is by taking a picture with a brand's product or service and sharing that image on Facebook or Twitter. The second way is by sharing a message, created by the brand, with their friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter. Word of mouth is the most effective form of advertising and we have created a platform that allows businesses of all sizes to run powerful word of mouth marketing campaigns at scale.

Steve Hickey's talk from Future Insights Live 2014 in Las Vegas: "As an industry we love to tell our clients that we’re agile or lean, that we’re better than the traditional waterfall process. But the reality is that we all stick to old bad habits in the name of convenience and safety. But we’re dead wrong when we work that way." Miss his talk? This presentation is made for Melbourne Cocoaheads, where all iOS developers in town meets up once a month. Since there are lots of prototyping tools released recently, I thought it would be helpful to share some benefits about using Framer for helping communications around design mock-ups better. Special thanks for my client who gave me permission to showcase the work.

We’re from ThoughtWorks, and we’re here to talk about how mobile can solve unique problems in meaningful ways in different social contexts.
Designing Mobile Solutions for Social & Economic Contexts
Designing Mobile Solutions for Social & Economic Contexts
Thoughtworks
Technology should help solve problems for people, but all people (and their problems) are unique - there is no one size fits all. This is especially true of Mobile, where environments and user needs are much more diverse than in other computing platforms. For instance, building mobile applications for the widest reach in India requires thinking about feature phones, non-English interfaces, the 'language' of missed calls, low-bandwidth situations, cultural nuances and numerous other unique conditions. Jonny Schneider and Nagarjun Kandukuru argue that the practice of design thinking helps mobile developers solve the most important problems in context-appropriate ways. They demonstrate how the best mobile applications lie at the intersection of technical feasibility, business viability and crucially, user delight.

OSGi Community Event 2016 Presentation by Milen Dyankov (Liferay) OSGi has evolved and matured beyond recognition over the last few years. It’s now easier than ever before, to build dynamic, modular Java applications to address the challenges imposed by ever growing and constantly changing business requirements. Despite that fact, OSGi seems to be far from receiving the appreciation it deserves. And if you are OSGi developer who now wanders “why should I care?”, let me remind you Thomas Edison’s famous quote “The value of an idea lies in the using of it”! Growing large community around given technology has proven to be an essential part of its success. In this talk I’d like to go over what OSGi community is (not) doing to attract “outsiders”. I’d also argue it can do much better than that. Based on observations and conversation from the last 2 years trying to advocate for OSGi among Java developers. I’ll try to position the technology it today’s reality of microservices, containers, clouds, DevOps, automation, Java 9, … and bring to your attention the perspective of an “outsider” together with all the presumptions, fallacies and promises it comes with. Finally I’d like to share some ideas about how to address those, promote relevant parts of OSGi and thus perhaps make it more attractive to Java developers!

In March 2020, the corona pandemic hit Norway, and the country went into lockdown. Suddenly, everyone wanted to get started with video calls. The little startup Confrere, which made video calls for the healthcare industry, grew their customer base by 10 times in two weeks, and the number of calls by 100 in two weeks. Suddenly, the company had become de facto national infrastructure, as 96 percent of the video calls in the Norwegian healthcare sector went through their platform. How was that even possible? A lot of it was because of content. In this session, you’ll learn how: * The core model helps craft content that is relevant for customers, even when context shifts vastly. * User research, sales, and customer service can work together to create content that answers users’ questions while being aligned on goals. * Focusing on localization from day one can prepare you for growth. * Sometimes it’s okay to leave some questions to a bot, rather than a human.

The Difference Between Your Project Succeeding or Burning To A Crisp Is Actually You. Dan Jenkins, Founder at Nimble Ape & Director at CommCon Events TADSummit EMEA Americas 2020 For far too long Open Source projects have been getting in their own way; with no marketing budget to shout the loudest it’s always an uphill battle to get their fair share of the marketplace. But ultimately, we as Open Source project owners and maintainers are the problem. We need to start thinking about Open Source projects as Products and Services that need to be promoted in their own right. It’s no longer good enough to just have a project website with a wiki and a download link. It’s up to us to sell our love for our creations and make others see the advantages of using them. We need to get out of our own way and show the world what Open Source can do for them and right now we’re failing. Join us to find out what you can do to get out of your own way and succeed.
