prefer the first one because of the background. i think that it adds more the the storyline whereas the second one doesn't.
the first one with the court room. Shows this person has been detained.
second one. The background makes the character see much bigger and too large. The blue background works with the other colours.
The second one. The colours are too gloomy and bland which even though with a background makes it quite dull
I Like both, however I believe there is more going on in the first one, with the court room.
the court room background infers the film has an aspect about law; the plain background is too boring.

the language is used well and it is appealing. words such as 'criminally' really work.
yes there is a good range. However i think if you minimised the texts you could have fitted more. It would have been nice to see an extra photo signalling another feature article.
yes, a good range of different media texts. Music, tv shows, good.
I think there is enough, there are a wide range of topics therefore it is good.
they're generally good; some don't match the thriller genre, though.

yes, the size of the cover line is bigger than the rest.

if you made the text smaller, you could have been able to put more articles in. however this still works.

i prefer the first one, however both are good.
the first one, the second doesn't tell me much about the storyline
