Location recce forms

1. Windsor Boys’ School - Drama studio
I have chosen to use the Windsor
Boys’ School drama studio
because of the space available, it
is large and has hard concrete
flooring, ideal for dancing. It also
does not have windows which
means I am able to make the
studio pitch black with no worries
of reflections.
Some problems that may occur with
this location is that when I would want
to use their lighting, I don’t know how to
use their lighting desk and I would
overcome this problem by asking the
teacher to show me before I go to my
location to film.
DIRECTIONS:
I have chosen to use this setting because
I can get it fully pitch black. This is
beneficial because my aim is to make it
seem like a nightmare.
Directions in TWBS:
As you go into the gate go
straight ahead to the block
of classrooms at the end.
As you enter, turn right and
go down the corridor until
you see the drama studio on
your left.

2. Windsor Girls’ School - Drama studio
I have chosen to use the Windsor Girls’
School drama studio because it has
good facilities. It also has a lighting
desk that I know how to use and it
easy to control. It is also easily
accessible as I am there 5 days a
week.
A problem that may occur when I am
filming is that the studio isn’t available
due to people in there rehearsing for
upcoming performances that are very
important. To combat this I would
check to see if anyone has requested
the studio at any point and if not I will
book it so that I can have it.
I have chosen to use this studio for my
lighter part of the music video because
its very convenient to use for a short
amount of time and I am able to make
it very light in that studio.
Directions:
When you arrive at
WGS, follow the
carpark all the
way to the end,
Turn right at the
end and keep going
round until you
see the second
individual
building. The door
is round the side.
