2. State of progress of the ongoing tasks
• Task 3.1 + US-RosBreed:
– Upgrades on FlexQTLTM gave 10x reduction in computation time
– Scripts to convert GenomeStudio data to Pedimap format
• Task 3.2: Mapping population has generated from Bolinha (Monilinia)
• Task 3.3:
– SNP-scores peach mapping populations completed for 90% (9K SNP )
– Apple DNA’s isolated for 65% of germplasm, DNA-bank initiated
• Task 3.4:
– 15 Stakeholders & partners expressed interest to participate
– 14 in apple, 7 external stakeholders;
• Task 3.6:
– Effect of harvest date on QTL-discovery initiated for apple texture

3. Milestones and Deliverables status
• D3.1 (M10): -> M18
List of EU-founders & indications on their use in breeding.
• D3.2 (M18) &
New version of the FlexQTLTM with several new capacities
and functionalities.
• MS12 (M18): &
Availability of genome covering SNP arrays in peach & apple
• MS13 (M18): &
A new version of FlexQTL capable of dealing with high
marker densities.

4. Expected delays and problems
• D3.1 (M10): -> M18
List of EU-founders & indications on their use in breeding
Apple:
– Delay is due to time needed for coordination and availability of
qualified personal.
– No technical issues.
– Tasks will receive full attention from April 1st on
– Topic is taken care off, delay does not affect other FB-tasks
Peach: Interest of breeders too limited

Meeting

– Touch base on obtained results
– Tuning on the development of SNP2-array (WP7, Apple)
• Task 3.3
– Phenotypic data getting in place
• Data-templates & timelines, existing (& new?) data
