2. Pirate Blackbeard Pirate Blackbeard was known to have once roamed the shores of Ocracoke Island. Some people even believe he haunts Ocracoke Island. Blackbeards real name is Edward Teach, he changed it when he made his first ship QueenAnnes Revenge . He was killed on Nov. 22 , 1718.
3. The Cape Hatteras lighthouse In the Cape Hatteras lighthouse there are 248 stairs, and they are all made of iron. The lighthouse is 12 stories high and is very hot inside. We went twice to the lighthouse and all together it cost $28.00.
4. Info on Ocracoke Island: Ocracoke island is in Hyde County N.C. The island is also part of the Outerbanks. The island has 16 miles of sun swept wilderness beaches. Here you can swim, fish, surf, or just improve your tan on almost any beach on the island. Ocracoke island is a great place to live vacation.
