In my teaching of General
Paper, I not only teach my
students how to score well for
their GP exams, I also share
my life principles, perspectives
and values to help them
GP TUITION
Hence, it is my conviction that GP is too
precious a subject to ‘waste’ by not
learning it well. I hope that through my
GP tuition lessons, my students will also
be able to see the amazing potential of
GP to enhance their thinking and
learning – and not just as a compulsory
H1 subject that they must take!
My GP tuition lessons will cover both Papers
concurrently (so that students will be well-
equipped for both papers), and we will be
working on Content material (arguments,
counter-arguments, examples etc), Language
skills (paragraph development, paraphrasing,
inference etc) and Structure format (proper
argumentative style, essay coherence,
Application Question format etc).
I was most glad to help out and have
since personally taught GP and also
provided JC tuition through my other
tutors for many students on this
scheme. In 2012, The New Paper learnt
about this and wrote a feature story.
It was an exciting experience
and especially relevant as this is
one of the topics that I discuss
in my General Paper (GP)
classes!
We was invited to Chair one of the
Advisory Committees of
Singapore’s Cancer Society’s
‘Help the Children & Youth
Programme’.
In fact, a memorable incident was
when one of my ex-students
messaged me to say that before
attending my GP lessons, she didn’t
like to read the newspapers at all, but
after coming for GP tuition, she now
automatically desires to pick up the
newspapers to read and find out
about current affairs and social
issues.

I hope that through my GP tuition lessons, my students will also be able to see the amazing potential of GP to enhance their thinking and learning – and not just as a compulsory H1 subject that they must take!

My GP tuition lessons will cover both Papers concurrently (so that students will be well- equipped for both papers), and we will be working on Content material (arguments, counter-arguments, examples etc), Language skills (paragraph development, paraphrasing, inference etc) and Structure format (proper argumentative style, essay coherence, Application Question format etc).
  • 4. I was most glad to help out and have since personally taught GP and also provided JC tuition through my other tutors for many students on this scheme. In 2012, The New Paper learnt about this and wrote a feature story.
  • 5. It was an exciting experience and especially relevant as this is one of the topics that I discuss in my General Paper (GP) classes!
  • 6. We was invited to Chair one of the Advisory Committees of Singapore’s Cancer Society’s ‘Help the Children & Youth Programme’.

In fact, a memorable incident was when one of my ex-students messaged me to say that before attending my GP lessons, she didn’t like to read the newspapers at all, but after coming for GP tuition, she now automatically desires to pick up the newspapers to read and find out about current affairs and social issues.
