Typhoon Haiyan was an extremely powerful storm with winds over 235 mph that struck parts of Southeast Asia and the Philippines in November 2013, causing over 6,300 confirmed deaths and leaving over 1,000 people missing due to the widespread destruction across multiple regions. The typhoon formed on November 3rd and dissipated on November 11th after devastating areas with its high winds and flooding.
