Environment encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally on Earth or some region thereof. It encompasses the interaction of all living species. Physical, biological, social, economical and cultural atmosphere affect human survival and economic activity. Concisely, the factors that affect living things are called environment. Environment contributes to our future, and if we don’t control the environment now, we can regret this some time.

Natura 2000 is a network of nature protection areas in the
territory of the European Union. It is made up of Special
Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Special Protection
Areas (SPAs) designated respectively under the Habitats
Directive and Birds Directive. The network includes both
terrestrial and marine sites (Marine Protected Areas) (MPAs)

12. The olive trees
The indigenous olive tree (wild olive tree) first appeared in the
eastern Mediterranean but it was in Greece that it was first
cultivated

all about herbs – their fragrance permeates every island. Herbs grow so profusely in Greece
that you cannot avoid crushing them underfoot as you walk.

15. The EU Water Framework Directive (WFD) establishes a legal
framework to guarantee sufficient good quality water and aims to expand
water protection to all waters, including inland and coastal surface
waters and groundwater.

policy that will augment the supply of water in sufficient quantity and
quality.
