first. It is a easy way for the
audience to find out what the
band is doing when and where.
Arctic Monkeys uses this
technique although their website
is of one basic and simplistic but
they use a different approach by
not including many images
which varies from those of
other bands. The website still
though appears to look
impressive through its clarity and
labeled bold pages.

Typography and Text
 The websites use of color is very minimal,
through the use of a light cream/yellow. The
typography for the band name is bold yet fun as it
sways to the side and increases in size. The text is
informal when labeling information to attract to
the younger generation rather than the older. This
technique appeals and catches the audiences eye
line.

from private photo shoots to tour images. This
is a common convention for the audience to
see and even at times download these images
for use as a screensaver or desktop background.
It makes the website seem more professional
and adds a more personal touch to the website

Kasabian’s website uses a huge Color,
variety of images and a theme
color of red and black to Typography and
suggest its more young adult
appeal. The layout is Text
sophisticated and very
presentable, it provides a less
crowded layout. The text is very
formal yet it is shown in a
slightly ‘edgy’ way through
splashed paint and the dark
colors of red and black. The
logo of the band is shown on
the front page of the website
and it moves clockwise round
which makes it seem unique.

performing at or gig. The website also incorporates tour
bookings to allow people to book a ticket for a certain
tour, this is a easy way for people to book but also the
band can see how many people have booked to see their
fan following. This technique makes the website and band
look genuine, exclusive and inimitable.

The main convention of any
band’s website is to allow people

albums. This technique allows
their audience to listen to their
music for free but even give the
band reviews on their music and
listeners can even follow them on
a social networking site. This
extra allows the band and the
viewers to see how many viewers
there are following the band at
that moment in time.
