6. “ I introduced the tool by showing the students my personal profile, and the reasons why I thought it would be nice for us to work with it. Once they decided they would like to get acquainted with it, I gave them 3 options of activities we could carry out. They voted, and chose the activity in which they would have to pretend to be some famous character and post as they imagined their characters would. After a few weeks, we would try to identify who the people were by analyzing their style and interests.” Paula Esteter – Asa Sul - Brasilia A GOLDEN PROJECT
7. Maximizing Speaking Opportunities with Twitter! Reporting Ask students to follow news stories like @reuters, @cnn or @natgeo. Before coming to class, students are asked to read news tweets and, in class, they report to their friends what they find as the most interesting news. Students can also talk about whether they have experienced anything worth tweeting to their friends in their daily lives before class. Very Short Tales Teacher assigns fairy tales that must be tweeted within the 140 characters. Stories are then shared in class. Students choose the best 140 character version of the tales.
